The service
StockContext is an HTTPS API that returns US equity and ETF market data and primary company filings. It is provided for informational and software-development use. It is not financial advice, trading advice, or a broker-dealer service.
Accounts and keys
You are responsible for the API keys issued to your account. Treat them like passwords. If a key leaks, revoke it from the dashboard. That immediately stops all calls using it. Sharing keys outside your organization is not allowed.
Limits
Every plan's limits are hard. Calls beyond your per-minute or per-day quota return 429. Sustained attempts to exceed limits, scrape around them, or split traffic across many free accounts may result in revoked access without refund.
Acceptable use
You may build products on top of StockContext that are lawful in your jurisdiction. You may not resell the raw responses as a competing data API, redistribute the underlying market data or filings in violation of our upstream providers' terms, or use the service to harass or defraud anyone.
Billing
Paid plans (Starter at $29 per month and Builder at $99 per month) are billed by Stripe via Clerk. Cancel whenever you want from the dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period, then your keys downgrade to Free limits automatically. We do not pro-rate refunds.
No warranty
The data is provided as-is. We work hard on freshness and accuracy, but markets, filings, and upstream providers change. Do not use StockContext as the sole input to a trade or decision with material consequences without your own verification.
Changes
We may update these terms with notice in the dashboard or by email. Material pricing changes apply to renewals, not to the current billing period.
